I recently read an article and the topic was “Black On Black Crime”. Now I am not here to prove nor do i have an hidden agenda. This is not about statistics , Black Loves Matter or any other organization. it is to bring attention to the plight of our youth in the black community when it comes to guns, drugs, gang, violence and murder.
Recently a 23 year old girl was shot and killed at a House Party in South Florida & i’m sure there were killings in black communities all over the the country this weekend. (Our prayers go out to the family & friends of the young lady that was murdered in Florida). *These are our Black sons and daughters, both young and old committing these murders. The killings i’m talking about are not committed by the police nor any of the people who we stand up to fight against and denounce.
I know a lot of you are the parents of men and women who have shot & killed people in our black communities. Some of your children are incarcerated or just came home from Prison after serving time for committing these killings. My prayers also go to you for the pain and suffering you experience as the parents of a child who has killed someone. The point of this writing is to start a discussion on how we can all do better to help our young people deal with the problems they encounter in the streets in other ways than grabbing a gun and killing someone.
Everyone has a theory & some even justify what the killers do as part of the life that they choose to lead. some say the streets , drugs, gangs , jealousy or hate is the reason so many people are shooting up our communities. And for those who say the Whites, the Latino’s or the Asians etc .are also killing in their communities or commit more crime than we do. That is not the point of this piece, they need to reach out to their young man and women as well.
